A fine 1:8 large-scale collector’s model of the Williams FW22 which marked the start of the partnership with BMW as an engine supplier and gave Jenson Button his first Grand Prix start.
For the 2000 season Williams signed the 20-year-old rookie Jenson Button to partner Ralf Schumacher driving the FW22, the first Williams powered by a BMW engine. The younger Schumacher scored a 3rd place at their first race in Australia, while youngster Button made his mark at his second outing for Williams when he came home 6th in the Brazilian Grand Prix. BMW-Williams finished 3rd in the constructor rankings at the end of the season.
This model has been hand-crafted utilising the original CAD data supplied directly by Williams and has undergone strict scrutiny by both the design and engineering teams to ensure complete accuracy.
This model is now only available built to order and therefore subject to a price premium for singular build.
